The African Eco-Feminist Collective operates at the intersections of ecological justice
by using radical and African feminist traditions to critique power,
challenge multinational capitalism and neoliberal models of transformation,
and re-imagine a more equitable world. To unpack the aims and strategies of this work,
The Forge spoke to collective members Ruth Nyambura, Nombuso Mathibela, Faeza Meyer and Koni Benson about:
the impact of intersectional political education; the relevance of policy interventions;
giving history back to people in their own words;
and the role of culture and rooted ecologies in re-imagining the possibilities of liberation.
