This paper presents a gendered dimension of how climate change affects human development. It also examines possible avenues for ensuring women’s participation in decision making processes on mitigating the impacts of climate change as well as improving human development. Based on this analysis, recommendations are made for enhancing integration of a gender perspective in climate change adaptation and human development policies and programs.
