SUMMARY BIOGRAPHY
Flavia Kyomukama is an active participant and analyst within the human rights movement and development sector in Uganda, Africa and Internationally. Flavia has proven track record in kick starting, reviving, managing and running successful organizations, institutions and social movements that engage with cutting edge human rights and development work. She has been at the forefront of the People Living with HIV and the sex work movement and agenda in Uganda, Africa and Internationally. Experienced in transformational leadership theory and practice; has had the rare courage of being at the forefront of tackling taboo issues on a number of core human rights issues (like diversity, disability, gender, sexuality and sexual rights), and standing in solidarity with marginalized children, girls and women, boys and men and LGBTI. Flavias work has also been mainly towards addressing governance, human rights, women’s rights, organizational development, technical assistance, learning and innovation. She has the ability to think, reflect and share and has as a result been at the core of critical thinking and writing.
Currently, Flavia is the Executive Director AGHA Uganda, and until recently was the Programme Manager Women’s Organisation and Networks for Human Rights Advocacy in charge of Organizational Development; Programme/Project Design and Development; Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; Policy Engagement; Donor Relations and Resource mobilisation; Capacity Development Programmes; Transformational Leadership Development; Movement Building and Organizing and; Self-Care and Wellness for Human Rights Activists among the Key populations in WONETHA and the movement as a whole.
