Marilyn Muthoni Kamuru

Marilyn is a lawyer and a successful entrepreneur. She started her business in 2006 and sold it to an international company in 2018. In addition, to being a Vital Voices GROW Fellow, she previously served as an Adviser to the Cabinet Secretary on Gender & Kenya’s globally innovative 30% public procurement program. She has written extensively on women’s rights in Kenya and is a speaker on a range if topics from politics, business and entrepreneurship to supplier diversity and women’s rights. She is especially interested in how public policy reflects and responds to women’s economic needs. She is currently writing a book on the role of policy and politics in scaling women owned businesses.
