Moitse Kemelo Moatshe is a young woman from Gaborone, Botswana. Beginning in September 2019, she will be starting her bachelor’s degree at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts (USA) with the aim of studying Economics and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Currently, Moitse is completing her A-levels at the African Leadership Academy ( in Johannesburg, South Africa). At ALA, two of the five subjects Moitse focused on were Economics as well as Gender and Social Change in an African Context. Moitse is interested in the intersection between economics and gender dynamics.
