Africa's structural transformation
Activism and initiation has always been my personal derive for enthusiasm and dedication. When l joined NIDAA, a Sudanese Civil Society Organization working in Khartoum with 6 sub-offices across Sudan, as an Advocacy Officer in 2016, that was the first recruitment for the organization in the field of Advocacy. I was then responsible for setting the focus, strategy, tools and means for the newly established office. My academic background in Development Studies and Public Policy helped a lot by providing the knowledge base, the connections and the research skills this job requires. Now, NIDAA focuses on social and economic rights advocacy, civic participation and advocacy for an enabling environment for CSOs. I am leading a small team of three permanent staff and five volunteers. We produced papers on Tax Justice, Tax policies for Transformation, Youth Political Movements Future in Sudan. In addition, we organized a number on forums, discussion sessions and workshops to mainstream our cases and create dialog. I have coordinated the production of CSOs reports on Development Effectiveness and on the State of Peace, inclusivity and access to Justice in Sudan.
