The Cost of the Commoditization of Food and Water for Women

The vision of increasing trade to make corporations richer should be replaced by one where people, especially women farmers, producers, and caregivers, can first secure their basic needs of food, water, health services, and education, and where governments decide on the best policy mix that would ensure sustainable development as enshrined in international human rights law as well as the Millennium Declaration.
